Here are answers to the questions we get most often about working with JG CoLab, booking speaking engagements, and bringing The Holding Frames™ to your community.
What does JG CoLab do? +
JG CoLab is a trauma-informed consulting and speaking practice. We help organizations and communities recover after crisis through three main services: Operations & Systems (clarity maps, SOPs, automation), Team & Community Healing (like The Holding Frames™), and Visibility & Memorials (remembrance planning, public storytelling, and ethical media support).
Who do you work with? +
We work with nonprofits, government agencies, schools, survivor networks, corporate CSR teams, and grassroots organizers. Whether you need systems built, a healing event facilitated, or a community memorial designed, we meet you where you are.
How far in advance should we contact you after a crisis? +
The sooner the better — we offer rapid clarity calls and can support you in the first 72 hours post-crisis, but we also engage months or years later for long-term recovery planning. If you’re unsure, book a free clarity call so we can assess your immediate needs.
Can you work virtually or do you travel? +
Both! Many clients start virtually (for discovery, planning, and training) and bring us on-site for facilitation, workshops, or memorial events. Travel is available across the U.S. and internationally by request.
How much do your services cost? +
Pricing varies by project. Our clarity map starts at $1,500, automation sprints start at $5,000, and speaking engagements begin at $1,500. We also offer sliding-scale options for survivor-led groups and small grassroots organizations.
Do you design public memorials? +
We facilitate memorial planning processes — helping communities gather input, avoid retraumatization, and arrive at designs that honor those impacted. We are cautious about commercialization and work closely with survivors to ensure dignity and transparency.
What topics does Josh speak on? +
Josh’s keynotes focus on survivor-led recovery, trauma-informed systems, art-based healing, and navigating the long road after crisis. Sessions are practical, hopeful, and grounded in real experience.
Can we partner with you for grants or funding opportunities? +
Yes! We frequently collaborate with nonprofits and municipalities on grant proposals, offering letters of support and co-designing deliverables that strengthen funding applications.
Do you offer pro bono or sponsored programs? +
Limited pro bono engagements are available each year, prioritized for survivor-led initiatives or communities experiencing acute crisis without existing resources. Sponsorships may also be available through our partner network.
